Get to Know Dr. Pereira
Dr. Pereira is originally from Stoneham but has lived in Melrose for the last 30+ years. Before joining our team, she was fortunate enough to have her own practice for 30 years before deciding to become an independent practitioner. She is excited to be able to work with Dr. Kostas who was a classmate and join the Complete Dental Care staff!
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Pereira enjoys all aspects of dentistry because it fits so much of who she is as a person. She likes the detail and precision required by the different procedures as well as teaching her patients about the different options available for their specific needs.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Pereira graduated from Northeastern University in 1985 and then pursued dentistry at the Tufts School of Dental Medicine, completing her studies in 1989. Over the years, she has developed expertise in dental implant restorations, cosmetic dentistry, crowns, bridges, and Invisalign.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Away from dentistry, Dr. Pereira likes spending time with her family. She and her husband of 35+ years, Álvaro, have three tremendous children who are all grown and pursuing their own professions. On the weekends, you’ll often find her in her garden, walking their Bernadoodle (Bruce), reading, cooking, or traveling. She is multilingual and speaks English, Portuguese, and some Spanish, which enables her to communicate with a broader base of patients.
